Reaching out for help takes genuine courage, and it is a sign of strength and self awareness rather than any kind of weakness or failure. This is worth knowing whether or not you ever decide to use it. This is worth asking about directly, without any hesitation at all. This is a right worth knowing about, whether or not it is used.

Every person who has ever picked up the phone to a support line took that same brave first step, in their own time and their own way. It remains true at every stage of what can be a difficult process. It remains true regardless of the path someone ultimately chooses to take.

1800RESPECT is on 1800 737 732, and Lifeline is on 13 11 14, both available any hour, whenever you feel ready to take that step. You do not have to work through this entirely on your own. Support is there for exactly as long as you happen to need it. Whatever you are feeling right now is reason enough to call.
