Simple, sustainable routines, like regular sleep, movement, and time with people who fill your cup, help supporters keep going over the long term. It protects your own capacity to keep showing up for others. This is worth treating as seriously as the support you give to others. This matters just as much for supporters as for anyone they support.

These routines work best when built in gradually, rather than treated as an occasional luxury reserved only for particularly hard weeks or crises. This is worth prioritising, not treating as an afterthought to everything else. This is worth revisiting regularly, not only during particularly hard weeks. This is a habit worth building before it feels genuinely necessary.

1800RESPECT is on 1800 737 732, and Lifeline is on 13 11 14, both available any hour for supporters needing to talk. Nobody expects you to have all the answers before you call. Taking that first step counts for a great deal, however small it feels. You deserve the same care and patience you offer to others.
